Dahi Bhalla is a beloved chaat dish that has been a staple of South Asian street food for centuries. At Tarrka House, we prepare our bhallas fresh daily using a traditional lentil batter, deep-frying them until golden and then soaking them in water to achieve that signature soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
The fritters are then generously topped with cool, creamy whipped yogurt and finished with our house-made tamarind and mint chutneys along with a sprinkle of roasted cumin and chaat masala. The result is a symphony of flavours and textures — soft, cool, tangy, sweet, and spicy all at once.
